What you’ll Need

Living in the hinterland, it’s a 20 min drive on winding roads over causeways and bridges to the nearest supermarket.
So here are the key groups of ingredients (and tools) I try to always keep on hand to make basic mocktails at the drop of a hat.
And a tag cloud of all ingredients used on the site.

Tools

I use my soda stream and lemon squeezer almost every day in a lime and soda.
This style of citrus squeezer is easiest on the hands – it takes less effort than a traditional manual juicer or reamer. And I always have two soda stream bottles of water in the fridge.

Pantry Staples

Limes are the most common ingredient used. And instead of sugar syrup, I usually use agave syrup – purely for convenience.

From the Garden

Grow mint in a container – otherwise it will take over your garden. Rosemary is fantastic for flavour and garnishing.
And once you’ve grown native thyme, you’ll never go back – it smells divine, and make an awesome cordial and botanical.
